The Department of Insurance Business prepares bachelors in the direction of training «Insurance of risks and insurance business» and specialists in the specialty «Insurance business». Graduates of this area of training (specialty) mainly work in the insurance sector of the country. The department conducts classes in the disciplines «State regulation of the socio-economic development of Turkmenistan», «Theory of insurance business», «Insurance business», «Insurance business of foreign countries», «Insurance law», «Insurance of investments», «Insurance of business risks» and others.

The correct combination of theoretical and practical training by the Department of Insurance Business, forms the ability of students to deeply understand the events taking place in the economic life of the country.

Students take an active part in the scientific circle «Insurance business» operating at the department and, under the scientific guidance of the teachers of the department, work on scientific topics related to various issues of the insurance business. Teachers of the department prepare students for participation in ongoing state, international and interuniversity subject Olympiads, competitions of scientific works (projects).

At the department «Insurance business» with the participation of teachers and interested students, research work is carried out on the topic «Risk insurance in Turkmenistan and ways to improve it». Based on the results of a scientific topic, scientific articles and abstracts are published in scientific publications.
